Belong Gallery is pleased to present All The Brokenhearted People, the first painting only exhibition of works by Alonso Galue. 

Galue’s portraits explore the presentation of the human form and its fascinating aesthetic. His energetic and quick impressions of color interact and vibrate in the eye of the observer. The floating figures seem to move as you approach, becoming more abstract and dilute.

Titled after The Beatles’ song “Let it be”, traditionally associated with hope, unites ideas of human suffering and finding the solution to our relationships; so do the paintings in this show; 

Portraying images from palpable realities while reaching towards their sublime dimensions. In the past, Alonso has presented human figures disappearing, broken, decaying, ephemeral; making them closer to us. In these expanding canvases, the fleshy forms confront us with all that we missed looking at the mirror.
